There are two categories of pallet wrapping machines: 

1. Core break
2. Power Pre-stretch

Floor mountings are common both

Low Profile(LP) freestanding: This pallet wrapping system is the most common, it combines a standard turntable with an option of loading ramp. In this format either, a forklift, hand pallet truck or powered pallet truck can be used. This situation is fine for most general uses.

Low Profile(SP): Sunk into its own pit so the turntable is level with the surrounding floor.

High Profile(HP): This pallet wrapping system was developed to help the forklift user. It can be awkward to centre a square pallet on a round turntable, especially when using a forklift. It was realised that by raising the turntable on the pallet wrappers, the forklift operator has much greater visibility and by offering a octagonal turntable centering is much easier. In addition to this the system is ideal for dirty environments. Having a raised turntable means that dirt will fall away from pallet wrapping machine. Once on the floor the dirt can be simply cleaned away as normal.

Rotary Arm(RA): This pallet wrapping system has all the benefits of the Pit Mount machine. The main difference is that the product remains on the floor and an arm rotates around it. This is ideal for extremely unstable and heavy loads. There are no weight issues as the product is on the floor and no stability issue as the product is not moved.
